Climax Slideshow (2008)

Monochrome love

The Climax slideshow is a slideshow featuring the pixelart works of Menno Seegers (created between 1993 and 1996). The slideshow consists of a total of 15 fullscreen bitmap images, which have all been handpixeled in Deluxe Paint and then carefully converted to be displayed on the vectrex. I tried recreating the kind of slideshow as they were done in the early 90s (when these images where created), so no fancy effects this time around.

Running the demo

Please run the slideshow on the real hardware, because current emulators don't work well with this slideshow.

This package can be freely distributed in its original form. The ROM image can not be included on multicarts without written permission.

3D Scape Cart (2006)

A collection of 3 vectrex demos

The 3D scape cart is a collection of 3 different demo's:

3D Scape (2006)

This demo consists of a 3 dimensional landscape rendered in wireframe vector graphics. As a concept for perhaps a future Vectrex game, the display shows a 64x64 map which the player can move freely across, along with a radar at the top of the screen showing the player's position as a white dot against a smaller rendition of the map

Oldskool +3 (2002)

This is the very first demo i did for the Vectrex and my homage to the great 80's C64 scene. This demo contains many effects common to C64 intros from those days. Click here for more nformation.

Performance VX (2003)

More specific to the Vectrex, this is my first serious attempt at doing 3D effects on the console. The demo is the first 'trackmo' styled demo for the Vectrex and contains 5 parts of different graphics effects. (BTW this was my last Vec coding until returning to Vectrex programming in 2005). Click here for more nformation.
